Four goals from Saul Green helped steer Redbridge into the next round of the Cup

They were 2-0 up at half time thanks to a solo effort from Green and a long-range effort from Matthew Niman. Daniel Goodman had a chance to reduce the arrears when he evaded the attention of Jason Driver but sent his effort over the bar.

Redbridge came out in the second half determined to finish the game off. Another chance for Hendon was parried by Kemp in the Redbridge goal, but this was to be Redbridge's day. Green added to the score when he muscled his way past the despairing challenge of the Hendon defenders and finished with aplomb and then finished the game off with two further strikes to make the score 5-0.

Redbridge then made changes to their line-up and Hendon scored two very late consolation goals, but with Korman outplayed by Sollosi in the centre of midfield and anonymous and restricted only to the clever play of Nevies and Goodman, the Redbridge defence held firm and superbly marshalled by Mervish and Gold with the two marauding full backs of Oldstein and Driver, this game was won by the strength in defence.

The midfield performances of Grant, Castle, Jacobs and Sollosi were tireless and physical, and Niman played a great game up front, but Green with his four-goal salvo was unplayable and you had to feel sorry for their defenders the way he played them like taking candy from a child.
