Fortune's Assistant manager Lee Fegan said afterwards: "Today was a game of two halves. First half we created more chances and had more possession than our opposition. We passed the ball around and defended as a team. Second half was not as strong as the first. Again we made individual mistakes which cost us the game. We let in two goals in the last ten minutes. This team is improving every week and the players in the squad are hard battlers and will not go down with out a fight".

"We'd like to dedicate this match to Dan Wayne who got married yesterday, and to Matt Bick who for so long has run the club and made sure that we stayed together as a team. It's our first win of the season, and if we continue to play like this we will be safe from the drop by February!"

NORSTAR 3 PINNER 1
Two goals from Eli Houri - both exquisite chips, plus Rob Pearl's strike saw Norstar keep up their title challenge.
Pinner started well and felt in control of the game keeping Norstar at bay in their own half. But with twenty minutes gone Norstar pushed forward with one of their few chances and whipped in a ball from right to be headed home.
The blues lost concentration and not least due to two early substitutions that manager Les Conway was forced to make. Josh Sasto, due to a recurring shoulder injury and Marc Benamram, with a calf problem.
Being unsettled by the changes and just before half time, the blues conceded a sloppy second.
The second period saw a much more spirited display from the blues who squeezed the play in the midfield and gained control again. With fifteen minutes remaining, the blues pulled a well deserved goal back with an initial save that was spilt by the Norstar keeper for Jon Kay to poach and hammer into the net from close range in total Michael Owenesk style.
Five minutes later and with a decision not given against Norstar for a blatant push against blues centre back Rob Mindell, they extended their lead further.
But with two minutes remaining with young Alex Sherr on a run towards goal where he was tackled from behind, only a free-kick was awarded by the referee which was a clear penalty. Regardless, he failed to even caution the opposing player despite the fact that he had clearly awarded it as a foul.
Pinner boss Conway told TJ: "It is, believe me, only a matter of time until our luck turns. This is not a bad side, but merely a squad of new players to the club this season and good ones that have not yet gelled as a unit.
"It amazes me that lot's of people out there seem to think that we're the whipping boys (and not least with some of the pre-match score line predictions that I've seen) yet I have no doubt that there will be a few surprises to come."
Norstar, who have also completed the signing of Sammy Kalms, formerly of
London Lions, said: "3-1 really flattered Pinner. We made it more difficult for ourselves than we needed to and whilst the state of the pitch didn't help matters, we're back to winning ways and confidence is sky high.
"Next week, we've got Kew Antigua in the third round of the FA Sunday Cup
and with Lions in the Peter Morrison the week after, we're going to be
playing catch-up in the league. But we're up for the challenge and whilst a good cup-run is always fun, promotion is our number one priority for this season."

UJIA manager Darren Rolfe told TJ: "At 2-0 down with ten minutes left on the clock we looked dead and buried, but our fighting spirit never let us down.
"All 14 of my players never stopped believing and we even had two fantastic chances to win it in the dying minutes. A fair result and a deserved point, now unbeaten in four league games."
