When I Grow Up, I Want To Be...

Kids say the cutest things! No sooner have they started to walk those first few steps, do they begin to utter their earliest words.

Ask any child what they want to be when they grow up, and they are guaranteed to come up with some interesting responses.

The number of ambitions that I have had over the years is quite varied; cleaner, dentist doctor, sweet shop owner, teacher – now I am a journalist! I asked a bunch of kids what they wanted to be when they grew up, and got some sweet replies…

Daniella Lambiase, 11, Edgware:

“I want to be an actress, because I like acting and I want to be famous.”

Eyal Goodman, 8, Edgware:

“I want to be an author, because I like making up stories and writing books.”

Gidon Schwartz, 8, Edgware:

“I want to be a scientist to win the Nobel Prize because I heard it is lot of money!”

Hannah Mendall, 9, Woodside Park:

“I want to be a piano teacher because I love to play the piano and I would really like to help other people learn.”

James Konn, 5, Stanmore:

“I want to be a policeman so I can put people under arrest and rid the world from evil!”

Joshua Cinna, 12, Stanmore:

“I want to be an accountant because I’m good with numbers, I like the thought of handling money, and I want to get to look after footballers’ finances and meet them.”

Kiara Goodman, 7, Edgware:

“I want to be a princess because I want to be rich and I want everyone to know who I am.”

Sammy Hass, 5, Muswell Hill:

Saul Nagus, 10, Hampstead Garden Suburb:

“I want to be an inventor because I'm always thinking of new ideas for things and I want to make them really happen. As my hobby I would be a pilot because I am absolutely crazy about planes and always have been since my first word was propeller.”

Savanna Goodman, 12, Edgware:

“I want to be a travel writer, because I love travelling and enjoy writing.”
